Wang Wentao said that China-Japan relations are in a critical period of improvement and development, and the two sides have actively implemented the important consensus of both leaders and successfully held the sixth China-Japan Economic High-Level Dialogue, which has enriched the economic connotation of the China-Japan strategic and mutually beneficial relationship. With integrated economic interests and mutually embedded industrial and supply chains, the two sides should continue to strengthen policy communication and cultivate new growth drivers for cooperation in areas such as green development, digital economy, third-party market and local-level cooperation. China expressed its concerns about Japan’s new export control measures on semiconductor-related items and the imposition of anti-dumping duties on graphite electrodes imported from China, and hopes that the two sides will make good use of mechanisms such as the China-Japan Export Control Dialogue to maintain the stability and smoothness of the industrial and supply chains, and promote the healthy and stable development of China-Japan economic and trade relations.

Muto Yoji said Japan is ready to follow the important consensus of the leaders of the two countries, strengthen exchanges with China at all levels and in all fields, and strive to expand synergistic cooperation to further expand the breadth and depth of bilateral economic and trade relations.
